Alfred Hitchcock

About

Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was an English filmmaker, considered the "Master of Suspense" (Mestre dos filmes de suspense), one of the best-known and most popular filmmakers of all time.

Hitchcock's suspense brought technical innovations in camera positions and movements, in elaborate editing, and in surprising soundtracks that enhance the effects of suspense and horror.

The atmosphere of suspense is heightened by the use of loud music and lighting effects. In Psycho, only the viewer sees the door open slightly, waiting for something to happen as the detective climbs the stairs.
