Cris Morena (María Cristina de Giácomi) is one of Argentina’s most influential television creators and producers, recognized for her multifaceted roles as an actress, writer, composer, and presenter. She became widely known in the early 1990s with the youth program Jugate Conmigo, which made her a national star and confirmed her position as a producer when she assumed executive and creative duties.
In 2002 she founded Cris Morena Group, a company that established itself as an international benchmark in producing children’s and teen content. Her most emblematic work, the telenovela Chiquititas (1995), marked a turning point in her career: beyond its huge audience success, it generated large-scale musicals, platinum records, and numerous international adaptations, extending its reach throughout Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
