Gilberto Tumscitz Braga is a Brazilian telenovela writer.
His 2007 telenovela Paraíso Tropical was nominated for an Emmy in 2008 in the new category for Best Telenovela. Most of his telenovelas feature a mysterious murder in the final episodes.
He also became noted for adapting classic literary works for television. In 1975, he was responsible for the adaptations of the novels Helena, by Machado de Assis, and Senhora, by José de Alencar, but the biggest success in this vein was Escrava Isaura (1976).
