Daughter of filmmakers, Ingra made her film debut at age 7, playing a mermaid in the short Ementário (1973), directed by her father Chico Liberato with a screenplay by her mother Alba Liberato.
She worked in telenovelas at the now-defunct Rede Manchete, including Pantanal and A História de Ana Raio e Zé Trovão, then moved to Rede Globo.
In 2007, she received the Kikito award for Best Actress for her performance in the film Valsa para Bruno Stein at the Gramado Film Festival.
