About

Miguel Bosé (born Luis Miguel González Bosé) is a singer, songwriter, and actor of Spanish origin whose career began in the late 1970s. The son of bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguín and Italian actress Lucia Bosè, he trained in performing arts and dance with figures such as Lindsay Kemp and Martha Graham and at Maurice Béjart’s school, influences that shaped his stage presence. After an initial phase of romantic songs supported by Camilo Sesto, he became a popular phenomenon in Spain with albums like Linda (1977) and Miguel (1980).

In the 1980s he moved toward a more mature and experimental repertoire, highlighted by Made in Spain (1983)—whose cover was created by Andy Warhol—and Bandido (1984), a period in which he adopted a lower vocal timbre and incorporated influences from artists such as David Bowie and electronic music. His music videos received cinematic treatment, solidifying his artistic image.

He achieved success across Latin America and recorded in several languages, including Portuguese, and maintained collaborations with international artists. Alongside his musical career, he appeared in more than ten films. In the following decades he continued to release significant work and collaborative projects, underscoring his legacy as an innovative interpreter and a leading figure in Spanish-language pop music.
