About

Tom Jones, born Thomas Jones Woodward, is a Welsh singer and actor with an international career, noted for a voice described as a “robust baritone” and for successfully moving between genres from pop and soul to country and gospel. He became a phenomenon in the 1960s with hits such as "It's Not Unusual," "What's New Pussycat" and "Delilah," and over his life amassed dozens of singles on the UK and US charts.

As a performer and stage artist, Jones also established himself in Las Vegas and rebuilt his career at key moments, notably with the album Reload (2000), which gathered duets with contemporary artists. He received major awards, including the Grammy for Best New Artist (1966), Brit Awards and honors such as the OBE and inclusion on the list of knights by Queen Elizabeth II, in recognition of his contribution to music.

Beyond music, he worked in television and film — winning a Golden Globe for This Is Tom Jones and appearing in productions such as Mars Attacks! — and returned to public prominence as a judge/coach on talent shows in the 2010s. His career combines commercial success, stylistic versatility and a long-standing influence on popular culture.
