About

Bérénice Bejo is a Franco-Argentine actress whose career spans European cinema and international productions. Born in Buenos Aires and based in Paris since childhood, she is the daughter of filmmaker Miguel Bejo and began acting in the 1990s, taking roles on television and in French films before moving onto the global stage.

Her international breakthrough came with The Artist (2011), in which she played Peppy Miller, a role that earned her nominations for major awards — including the Golden Globe, SAG and Oscar — and brought her acclaim in France with the César for Best Actress. Earlier, she had made her English‑language film debut in A Knight’s Tale (2001) and appeared in films such as OSS 117 (2006) and The Past (2013).
